Service Description

Functional breathing sessions focus on how you breathe throughout your day and how those patterns affect your nervous system, energy, sleep, and emotional regulation. Many people are unknowingly over-breathing, mouth breathing, or holding tension in their breath. These patterns can keep the body in a low-level stress response even when life feels “fine.” Functional breathing may be supportive if you: -Feel anxious, wired, or easily overwhelmed -Struggle with sleep, fatigue, or racing thoughts -Notice breath holding, shallow breathing, or frequent sighing -Experience breathlessness during stress or movement -Want practical tools you can use outside of sessions These sessions are ideal if you’re looking for clear guidance and structure, rather than an emotional or cathartic experience. Each 1:1 functional breathing session includes: -Assessment of your natural breathing patterns -Education around stress, breath, and nervous system responses -Gentle breathing exercises tailored to your needs -Tools you can practice at home or during stressful moments -Support for nasal breathing, sleep, and daily regulation Sessions are collaborative and designed to feel supportive rather than corrective. Functional breathing focuses on everyday breathing patterns, not altered states or emotional release. With consistent practice, functional breathing can support: -Improved breathing efficiency and CO₂ tolerance -Better sleep quality and easier transitions into rest -Reduced anxiety and stress reactivity -Increased energy without stimulation -Greater confidence in managing stress on your own This work is subtle but deeply impactful note: If you are pregnant or in your first trimester of pregnancy, Functional breathing is not suitable at this time.
