Service Description

Functional breathing sessions focus on how you breathe throughout your day and how those patterns may affect your nervous system, energy, sleep, stress levels, and overall well-being. Many people unknowingly develop breathing habits such as over-breathing, mouth breathing, breath holding, or shallow upper chest breathing. Over time, these patterns can contribute to tension, poor sleep, feelings of anxiety or overwhelm, low energy, and difficulty fully relaxing, even when life appears manageable on the surface. Using simple assessments, education, and guided exercises, we explore breathing mechanics, diaphragm function, nasal breathing, carbon dioxide tolerance, and the body’s response to stress. Sessions are designed to gradually improve breathing patterns over time and help create a healthier, more efficient relationship with the breath. This work is collaborative, supportive, and practical. Clients are given tools they can begin using in daily life to support calmer breathing, nervous system regulation, improved sleep, stress resilience, and greater body awareness outside of sessions. With consistency, many people begin to notice: -calmer, more efficient breathing -reduced tension and stress reactivity -improved sleep and recovery -increased energy and focus -greater awareness of the connection between the breath, body, and nervous system These sessions are especially supportive for those experiencing anxiety, chronic stress, poor sleep, breathlessness, asthma-related symptoms, tension-related breathing patterns, or athletes looking to improve recovery and performance. At this time, functional breathing sessions are not suitable during pregnancy. For alternate availability, please contact me directly.
