About Me

I’m Val, a breathwork practitioner and functional breathing coach offering sessions in Windsor-Essex and online across Ontario.

My work is rooted in helping people slow down, reconnect to their body, and regulate their nervous system through breath. I work with people who feel overwhelmed, tense, disconnected, or stuck in stress patterns they’ve tried to think their way out of. This approach is gentle, body-led, and grounded in safety.

Why I do this work

Before becoming a breathwork practitioner, I worked for many years in care-based roles, supporting people through stress, crisis, and emotional overwhelm. Over time, I saw how often the body carried what words couldn’t fully express.

​

I also experienced this firsthand. Chronic stress, anxiety, and disconnection showed me that insight alone wasn’t enough.

 

Learning to work with my breath and nervous system changed how I related to my body, my emotions, and my sense of safety and worth. That experience is what guides how I work with others now.

What it’s like to work with me

Sessions with me are calm, guided, and responsive. I pay close attention to breath, body cues, and nervous system responses so that you feel supported throughout the process.

​

 We work at a pace that allows your system to soften, release, and settle naturally. People often describe working with me as grounding, supportive, and clarifying. Sessions are paced in a way that helps them feel safe in their body, even when emotions or tension arise.

 

Many share that they feel deeply guided without being pushed, and that the space feels calm, steady, and respectful of their nervous system. It’s common for people to leave feeling more settled, connected, and able to breathe with ease.

My Approach

I trained extensively in Breathwork, Functional Breathing, Energywork and Nervous system regulation, including immersive training in Bali. That time shaped not only my technical understanding of breathwork, but how I hold space, pace sessions, and prioritize safety and presence.

Today, my work blends:

  • Breathwork and functional breathing principles

  • Nervous system education

  • Body awareness and optional hands-on support

  • Trauma-aware pacing and integration

  • Energy work

​

I don’t believe in pushing people past their limits or chasing intensity. I believe in meeting the body where it is and letting change happen from there.
